Ballabgarh, 24 August 2026: To promote sportsmanship, leadership and the spirit of nation-building among youth on the occasion of National Sports Day, the ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect – Sports Edition’ is being organised across the country. As part of this initiative, the programme will be organised on 27 August 2026 at Aggarwal College Ballabgarh by NSS Units I, II & III. The programme aims to bring youth, sportspersons and public representatives together on a common platform to discuss India’s changing Sports Ecosystem and the aspirations of young people. During the programme, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will virtually address more than 8 lakh youth across over 1,600 locations. Following the Prime Minister’s address, a local Youth Interaction and Youth Samvaad will be organised, where young participants will share their suggestions regarding Indian sports and the vision of a Viksit Bharat. Key areas of discussion will include strengthening the Sports Ecosystem, expanding grassroots-level facilities and coaching, preparing talented athletes for the 2036 Olympics, and promoting Youth Leadership, Skills, Volunteering and Nation Building.
