On 1 st April, 2026 Department of Computer Science organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Emerging Trends in Technology” for all the students of MCA and BCA of Aggarwal College Ballabgarh Wing-1. The program thrived thanks to the steadfast leadership of Chairman Sh. Devender Kumar Gupta, General Secretary Sh. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, and Wing I Incharge Dr. Sachin Garg.

Resoure person of this workshop was Dr. Rekha Mittal, Dean R&D and HoD BCA Specialization, from IMT College of Engineering, Faridabad. Ms. Mohini Verma, Head of the Computer Science Department, welcomed Dr. Rekha Mittal Mam with a plant as a gesture of appreciation and respect, while Ms. Nisha Choudhary from the computer science department handled coordination with excellence.

Dr. Rekha Mam, presented a comprehensive overview of the emerging trends in technology. She highlighted several transformative areas reshaping industries and academic landscapes. Among the key trends discussed were Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), which are driving automation and intelligent decision-making across various sectors, from healthcare to finance. Dr. Mittal emphasized the rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, which are enabling seamless connectivity and smart environments.

Furthermore, Dr. Mittal touched upon the rise of Quantum Computing, forecasting its potential to revolutionize problem-solving capabilities in fields like cryptography and complex simulations. The growing focus on cybersecurity was another major theme, with increasing digitalization necessitating robust protective measures against cyber threats. Dr. Mittal concluded her talk by stressing the importance of continuous research, innovation, and skill development to keep pace with these rapidly advancing technologies, ensuring that students and professionals remain at the forefront of this digital transformation.

The session was attended by approximately 75 students, all of whom had the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in technology. The session was exceptionally interactive, with students eagerly participating and raising insightful queries. Dr. Mittal Mam responded to all questions in a highly effective and engaging manner, ensuring that each student’s curiosity was addressed. Her explanations were clear, and the examples she shared helped to bridge the gap between theory and practical applications of emerging technologies.

Students were not only able to expand their knowledge of these technologies but also gained a deeper understanding of how they will shape the future of various industries. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Parul Singla, who expressed gratitude to Dr. Mittal Mam for sharing her expertise and knowledge. She also thanked the attendees for their active participation, making the event a truly enriching experience.
