On May 11, 2026, the Agarwal College Ballabhgarh NSS Cell (Unit I, II, and III) organized an awareness campaign on the topic “Beat the Heat – Water Friendly” on the occasion of Green Day, within the college campus and in the adopted village. The primary objective of this activity was to spread awareness about water conservation and community participation for the protection of birds, stray animals, and nature during intense heat. This commendable initiative was started by Dr. Vipranka Sahrawat on the occasion of her birthday with a social and environmental purpose, aiming to enhance sensitivity towards nature and living beings through community service. During the event, NSS volunteers conducted the “51 Bucket Campaign,” under which 51 earthen pots were placed at various locations in the college campus, parks, and the adopted village Chandawali for birds and stray animals. The volunteers ensured regular filling and maintenance of these pots. Under the “NSS Water Friendly Initiative,” NSS volunteers played the role of “Water Friends,” showing compassion and concern for animals and birds.
