On 26 February 2026, the Department of Commerce, Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh (Wing 1) under the guidance of Honorable Chairman Sh. Devender Kumar Gupta, General Secretary Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Incharge (Wing 1) Dr. Sachin Garg and Head of the Commerce Department Dr. Seema Malik in coordination with Ms. Reena Gupta, organized a Quiz Contest on the topic ‘Central Excise Duty’ for the students of B.Com and M.Com.

The main objective of this contest was to enhance students’ knowledge about the concept, provisions, applicability and practical implications of Central Excise Duty, to develop analytical thinking and awareness about indirect taxation, and to encourage healthy academic competition among students.

The quiz was conducted in multiple rounds including objective questions, rapid fire and situation-based questions, which created great enthusiasm among the participants and audience. Students actively participated and demonstrated excellent understanding of the subject.

From the B.Com category, Dharna Sharma secured the First Position, Aditya Goyal secured the Second Position and Shalu, Sheenu secured the Third Position. The winners were appreciated and awarded certificates for their outstanding performance.

The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks and appreciation to all the faculty members and students who contributed to making the event meaningful and informative. Overall, the quiz contest proved to be an enriching academic experience and motivated students to gain deeper knowledge in the field of taxation.
