The Department of Mathematics at Aggarwal College recently hosted an enlightening Guest Lecture on the theme “Mathematics in Real Life Applications”. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical mathematics and its practical use in industries and research.
Eminent scholar Dr. Rajesh Bansal from IIT Delhi was invited as the keynote speaker. His talk emphasized how advanced mathematical models are used in weather forecasting, AI, cryptography, finance, and biological studies. Students were introduced to practical simulations and real-world datasets.
Interactive sessions followed where students enthusiastically engaged with the speaker, asking questions about mathematical careers and interdisciplinary research.
The department head, Dr. Reena Sharma, concluded the event by expressing gratitude to Dr. Bansal and encouraging students to pursue mathematical exploration beyond textbooks.
