World Red Cross Day

Organized by Aggarwal College

Aggarwal College observed World Red Cross Day with great enthusiasm to honor the humanitarian values and selfless service of Red Cross volunteers across the globe. The celebration aimed to instill compassion, empathy, and a sense of global citizenship among students.

The programme began with a formal inauguration in which the Principal highlighted the significance of the Red Cross Movement and its vital role in disaster relief, medical assistance, blood donation, and humanitarian outreach. Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and Youth Red Cross (YRC) members participated actively in the event.

A key highlight was an expert talk by a certified Red Cross resource person, who shared inspiring real-life experiences from humanitarian fieldwork. The session emphasized the importance of first-aid training, emergency preparedness, voluntary blood donation, and community service during crises.

An awareness rally was organized within the college premises, where students carried placards displaying messages such as “Every Life Matters,” “Be a Lifesaver,” and “Donate Blood, Save Lives.” The rally reflected discipline, unity, and dedication toward social service.

Various competitions including poster-making, essay writing, and street plays were conducted to highlight the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross. Outstanding participants were recognized with certificates and mementos for their creativity and commitment.

The event concluded with a pledge ceremony, where students committed themselves to spreading awareness about humanitarian aid, voluntary service, and social responsibility. Through such initiatives, Aggarwal College reaffirms its commitment to serving society beyond academics.
