The NSS Unit-II of Aggarwal College Ballabgarh successfully organized a
“Plastic Free Drive” on November 13, 2025, with the aim of spreading
awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promoting a
cleaner, and greener environment.
The event began with a pledge to say no to single use plastic and beat the plastic
pollution, followed by a cleanliness drive to promote a plastic-free campus on
the theme “Ek Kadam Swachhata ki Aur”. The highlight of the event was a rally
march from Aggarwal College Ballabgarh to Mukesh Colony, Ballabgarh,
where NSS volunteers raised slogans to ban the use of single use plastic and
held placards to spread the message of preventing plastic usage.
Around 95 NSS volunteers actively participated in the Plastic Free Drive,
showing great enthusiasm and dedication towards the cause. Their efforts
helped in sensitizing the local community about the importance of adopting
sustainable practices and avoiding single-use plastics.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta
(Acting Principal) and Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat (Programme Officer, NSS Unit-
II), who appreciated the volunteers for their active participation and
commitment toward environmental conservation.
