The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit II of Aggarwal College has organized a One Day Camp on 30th, January 2025 to celebrate ‘national martyrs day’. The camp aimed to promote community service, team building, and personality development among the NSS volunteers. Camp was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Acting Principal, Aggarwal College and in the supervision of Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat, Program Officer, NSS Unit II, Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh. The camp began with a solemn ceremony, where the volunteers paid floral tribute to the memorial of Shaheed Jai Bhagwan, a revered freedom fighter and alumnus of our college. This poignant gesture set the tone for the day's events, reminding the volunteers of the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes. The event was further extended with a series of activities, including an oath ceremony, a literacy campaign and a cloth distribution drive, which were conducted in the nearby slum area, (Patel Nagar) benefiting the local residents and promoting a sense of social responsibility among the volunteers.An oath-taking ceremony was conducted, where the volunteers took a solemn pledge to serve the nation and uphold the values of the National Service Scheme. The oath was administered by Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat, Program Officer, NSS Unit 2, who encouraged the volunteers to dedicate themselves to the noble cause of community service.The volunteers embarked on a literacy campaign in the nearby slum area, (Patel Nagar) engaging with local residents and promoting education and awareness on various social issues. Through interactive sessions, the volunteersspread literacy awareness and encouraged the residents to adopt positive lifestyle changes, fostering a sense of empowerment and community development.In a heartwarming display of compassion, the volunteers distributed essential items, including clothes, stationery, and books, to the underprivileged residents of the nearby slum area (Patel Nagar). This act of kindness brought smiles to the faces of the recipients, spreading joy and warmth throughout the community. The volunteers' selfless efforts helped bridge the gap between privilege and poverty, fostering a sense of hope and inclusivity among the marginalized residents. Download PDF
