Aggarwal College celebrated Library Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit, highlighting the importance of books, reading habits, and lifelong learning in a student’s educational journey. The celebration aimed to promote a culture of reading and create awareness about the extensive resources available in the college library.
The programme began with an informative address by the Librarian, who emphasized the role of libraries in nurturing intellectual growth, discipline, and curiosity among learners. A guided library orientation was organized, especially for first-year students, to familiarize them with various sections, reference materials, and borrowing procedures.
Several engaging activities such as book review presentations, storytelling sessions, poetry recitations, and quiz competitions were conducted to encourage active participation. Inspirational posters and quotes on reading and knowledge were displayed throughout the library premises.
A short video presentation showcased the evolution of the college library, highlighting its transition from traditional print collections to modern digital resources. Students were also guided on accessing e-books, digital journals, and online academic databases through the library portal.
The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions such as Best Book Review, Best Reader of the Year, and quiz winners. The event served as a reminder of the timeless value of libraries and the limitless knowledge they offer.
