Organized by Aggarwal College
The Department of Political Science at Aggarwal College organized an academic guest lecture to enhance students’ understanding of modern governance, democratic values, and the evolving political landscape at both national and global levels.
The session focused on key themes such as active citizenship, challenges faced by parliamentary democracies, and the relationship between politics and society. Students gained insights into policy-making, constitutional values, and the functioning of democratic institutions.
The resource person also discussed concepts of comparative politics and major global political ideologies, providing students with a broader perspective on international political systems and their influence on domestic governance and decision-making.
A dedicated segment highlighted the importance of youth participation in democratic processes, electoral awareness, and civic responsibilities. Students were encouraged to critically analyze media narratives, political manifestos, and government policies with an informed outlook.
The lecture concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively engaged in discussions on contemporary political issues and current affairs. The session proved to be both informative and thought-provoking, inspiring students to develop an interest in public service, governance, and responsible citizenship.
