The Department of Chemistry at Aggarwal College organized an enriching Guest Lecture with the objective of broadening students’ academic perspectives and strengthening their understanding of real-world applications of chemistry. Undergraduate and postgraduate students participated with keen interest.
The lecture focused on contemporary and emerging areas such as green chemistry, sustainable chemical practices, and recent innovations in pharmaceutical and industrial chemistry. The speaker highlighted how scientific advancements are contributing to environmentally responsible solutions and societal development.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of interdisciplinary learning. Examples were drawn from material science, environmental chemistry, and biology to demonstrate how chemistry connects with other scientific domains. Students were also guided on career pathways, higher education options, and research opportunities in the field of chemistry.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed students to engage directly with the resource person. Real-life experiences from research laboratories and chemical industries were shared, emphasizing laboratory safety, research ethics, critical thinking, and innovation.
