First Aid Training Program – YRC

Organized by Aggarwal College (Youth Red Cross Unit)

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit of Aggarwal College organized an intensive First Aid Training Program with the objective of empowering students with essential life-saving skills. The initiative focused on preparing young individuals to respond effectively during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.

The training session covered a comprehensive range of first-aid techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treatment of minor cuts and burns, control of bleeding, management of fractures, fainting, and assisting unconscious patients. Emphasis was placed on correct assessment and timely action.

Practical demonstrations formed the core of the program. Using medical kits and training mannequins, students were guided step-by-step on how to assess a victim’s condition, ensure personal safety, call for emergency assistance, and administer appropriate first aid.

The training also highlighted the importance of maintaining a properly equipped first aid box at homes, educational institutions, and during public events. Participants were educated about essential emergency contact numbers and the role of first responders in saving lives.

Students participated actively and displayed great enthusiasm throughout the session. The program concluded with an awareness pledge, where participants committed themselves to spreading basic first-aid knowledge and assisting others during emergencies.

This initiative not only enhanced practical skills but also instilled confidence, responsibility, and humanitarian values among students, aligning with the core mission of the Youth Red Cross and Aggarwal College.
